From 20.10.2023 to 10.01.2024, Palazzo Lanfranchi hosts the exhibition " Italian Futurism. The contribution of the South to the developments of the Movement ", promoted and organized by the National Museum of Matera in collaboration with the Veneto Regional Museums Directorate.

On display are more than 130 paintings, sculptures and drawings from public museums, foundations, archives and private collections. The itinerary is completed by published and unpublished archive documents from various national institutions.

With the staging of this new exhibition, Matera becomes the nerve center of Southern Futurism: currently, in fact, the work Unique forms of continuity in space is hosted at MUSMA   (1913) by Umberto Boccioni, an iconic sculpture of Italian futurism, for which it serves as a symbol and manifesto.

The third act of this project, which started again in 2020, will take place, as in previous years, between the municipalities of the Park, namely Matera and Montescaglioso.

The program includes interventions by Francesco Ferrini, Full Professor of General Arboriculture and Arboreal Crops at the University of Florence, Francesco Tomasinelli, biologist and photojournalist as well as author of various volumes on nature and Enrico De Capua, current director of the institution Parco della Murgia Materana and author of the latest publication of the Parcomurgia series: "Il Fragno, quercus trojana webb, in the context of the biodiversity of the Parco della Murgia Materana", which will be presented by himself on Friday 3 November.

The Project, created for the occasion in collaboration with the University of Basilicata, will end on Wednesday 20 December with an event at Palazzo Bernardini, during which the white paper for the tenth anniversary of Naturarte Basilicata will be presented: evaluation of impact 2013-2023 curated by Luciano Vanni for Civitates Srl, a social enterprise.
