The Reception
Luggage Service
The reception is open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
The Sassi of Matera's compliance includes numerous stairways and Antico Convicino offers assistance in luggage transportation by enlisting the help of external staff. Therefore, upon request, guests can book the luggage service in advance. Guests must inform our facility of their arrival time and parking location (parking spots are indicated by us!) from which they will be assisted in the transportation of their luggage.
Additional costs are expected based on the type of luggage.

Parking Lots
Where are we?
We are in the heart of Sasso Caveoso - Limited traffic area;
ACCESS BY CAR IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE SASSI DISTRICTS EXCEPT FOR RESIDENTS.
We are located in the heart of the Sassi, in the historic center of Matera, therefore in a pedestrian area. To avoid problems or fines, we recommend setting one of the parking points on your navigator (all within a 10-minute walk from the hotel) instead of the hotel's address.
When approaching Matera, take the Matera Sud or Matera Centro entrance:
- Then continue on Via Lucana; in the immediate vicinity, there are free parking lots (Via Lanera, Via Castello) and parking lots with blue lines.
- Paid multilevel parking Sant’Isidoro on Via Lanera (500 meters walk from the hotel), hourly rate 1.40 €. Continue on foot along Via Lanera, Via Alessandro Volta, Via San Francesco, finally Piazza del Sedile; go down the staircase on the left of the "Conservatorio Duni", staircase Gradoni Municipio, at the end of which on the left, you will find our establishment.
- Multilevel parking located in Via Rocco Scotellaro (300 meters walk): from 8:00 to 24:00, the cost is 1.50 € per hour; from 24:00 to 8:00, the cost is 0.80 € per hour. Continue on foot along Via Rocco Scotellaro, Via San Francesco, finally Piazza del Sedile; go down the staircase on the left of the "Conservatorio Duni", staircase Gradoni Municipio, at the end of which on the left, you will find our establishment.
Pet Friendly
In our facility, which falls under the Pet Friendly category, small/medium-sized pets are allowed.
The service is provided only upon request, and there is an additional cost of €10.00 per pet per day.
Guided Tours
Visiting Matera requires a significant amount of time, but by contacting us, you can receive information about the possibility of organizing a guided tour in the Sassi on foot, both for groups and individuals, available in Italian, English, French, Spanish, German, and Portuguese!
Transfer
For travelers arriving at Bari Palese airport, we offer, upon request, paid private rides from the airport to near our property.
